Welcome to The Joe Segment! It is bittersweet as I sit here and begin to write for the last time this year. As I reflect back to the begining of all the things that have happened to get me to this point, I know in my spirit this is right and what I must do.

The Lord has been telling me for several months to take my rest; however, with the vision He has given me for Cup for Joe to reach the world with the gospel, I have not been able to. I push myself to the limit - which is why I am exhausted. I was not listening. Forgive me, Lord. Amen.

A week ago Stephen Hope (Crosscarry America) and my second Joe - March 4, 2013, called and wanted to spend the weekend with me in fellowship. Stephen has always told me that he takes ...

Welcome to The Joe Segment! Stephen Hope with Crosscarry America (my second Joe - written March 4, 2013) was coming in from Las Vegas, New Mexico, and was going to be in the Houston area. We had not seen each other since the first time we met for Cup for Joe. We made plans to meet again. On a trip to Houston, he had a day he could come to Beaumont and invited me to eat breakfast at the Iron Skillet.

We had not been there long before a friend of mine, Shane Lawson, came up to the table and asked me what I was up to! I introduced him to Stephen and said, "Remember what I showed you about Cup for Joe eight months ago?" He said, "Yes!" I had my laptop open and showed him the people I have written testimonies about. Shane said, "You know who you need to meet? ...

Meet Lady Jo! Angie Evans - 3rd Cup. If you have not read Angie's 1st and 2nd Cups, then please go read them now. Let's pick up where Angie just got through praying for a sign from God and had a dream about dying. Amen.

After the dream Angie realized the Lord was telling her that if she continued down the same path she was on that she was going to die. She said that the dream was powerful and, at that moment, she knew she needed to surrender - grow up - put the Meth down - and turn her life around. She said, "I wanted to know why I was such a horrible person to do that while I was pregnant! That is NOT normal!"

Angie entered the Bowie County Women's Center in Texarkana, Texas. Angie said the Center is Christian based, but it is ...

Meet Lady Jo! Angie Evans - 2nd Cup. If you have not read Angie's 1st - Cup, then please go read it now. Let's pick up where Angie just lost custody of her three children. She had to go to court, received parental rights, and had to start paying child support. I said, "Oh...My...God!"

Angie started trying to turn her life around. She tried to get clean on her own without going to meetings. She started going back to college - got a place of her own - and was trying to do what she had to do. Not long after she started working at a nursing home, a friend at work gave Angie some Meth. Angie started using a little bit at a time.

Dora, Angie's mom, had threatened Angie about using when she would get to see her children every other weekend. Angie was back into her addiction ...

Meet Lady Jo! Angie Evans - 1st Cup. How I met Angie is a story in itself. I could write a book on how the Lord sends people to me concerning Cup for Joe. The will of God led me to Dallas, Texas, to meet ex-football pro player Isaiah Robertson and to find out about the House of Isaiah, which he founded.

When I called Isaiah about coming up there to meet him, while talking to him, he said, "You need to meet Angie Evans! She is my case manager and has a group on facebook (Surviving Addiction) and has a powerful testimony!" I said, "Lord willing, I will happy to sit down with her over a cup of coffee!" I told Isaiah that Stephen Hope (Crosscarry America) and I would be coming the following week before we got off the phone.

The following week, when we got to the ranch, it ...

Meet Joe! Raymond Presley - 3rd Cup. If you have not read the 1st and 2nd Cup of Raymond's letter of testimony, then go and read it now. Let's get back to see where Raymond is climbing to!

Raymond said, "I am going to tell you something to show just how amazing God is!" Raymond said he had to go to Louisiana. He started praying, "Lord! You know I hate going to Louisiana!" So he started praying for the people he was going to meet. As a result of Raymond's prayers, one man was saved, and Raymond told everybody about Jesus that day before he left.

On the way home from Louisiana, you would think he would be rejoicing, but Raymond was weeping. His heart was heavy with a burden for the people he had prayed ...   Read more...

Meet Joe! Raymond Presley - 2nd Cup. If you have not read the 1st Cup of Raymond's letter of testimony, please go enjoy it now. Lets pick up where the Lord just got through whooping the devil's butt. Amen.

Raymond continued and told me how operating construction equipment can be the noisiest place in the world, but you have to block it out and get in your quiet place with the Lord - into the spirit realm! There is a place of tangible love! WOW!

Right after the incident with the devil, Raymond and his family moved back to Port Neches, Texas. Before they left, Melba Rogers told them about Church on the Rock where her son, Ron Hammonds, pastored. When they moved back, that is where they went. Glory!

Meet Joe - Raymond Presley - 1st Cup! I had seen Raymond a few times in the foyer and serving coffee in the cafe area at Golden Triangle Church on the Rock (GTCOTR). It is a big church with a large congregation. It was five months before I met Raymond.

About a month ago Pastor Ron Hammonds called Raymond to the platform to pray for him. Pastor Hammonds always has the church pray for the saints before a missionary trip and upon their safe return. Pastor Hammonds asked Raymond, "Where are you going?" Raymond said, "Bulgaria!" At that moment I said within myself, "Of all the countries in the world (196), he is going to Bulgaria!" Now, you will just have to stick around and find out why Bulgaria means something to me and the ministry of Cup for Joe.

Raymond sits across from me ...

And All Things - 4th Cup   Weddings are FUN! Serious? Yes! But Fun, too! The ringbearer and the flower girl walking down the aisle at the right time tossing the flower petals, the chuckles, and snickers from the audience, the "awwwws" from the folks on the sidelines trying to get the little wedding party to do everything in order is FUN! So, too, ...   Read more...

And All Things - 3rd Cup   “The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones. …”   Excitement for me was in the air as I made the last part of my trip to Douglas, Arizona. After I left the clean and pretty little restaurant in Animas, NM, that had served up ...   Read more...
